The Hertfordshire Philharmonia was formed in 1994 with the joint aims of bringing high quality,accessible music to Herfordshire and providing a showcase for some of the county's finest musicians. One of the orchestra's core objectives is to work with a number of different guest conductors who can bring fresh and interesting insights into both standard and unusual works in the symphonic repertoire.
The orchestra's rehearsal base is in Welwyn Garden City, and the majority of our concerts are in the Harpenden and St Albans area.
